Barbara Ann Hobbs, 90 of Jacksonville entered into eternal rest on September 28, 2025. She was born on August 17, 1935 in Moultrie to the late Clyde Thomas Turner and Willie Etta Murphy Turner who precedes her in death.
Barbara was a devoted wife, mother, and friend who dedicated her life to caring for her loved ones. She was known for her warm personality, her love of cooking, gardening, and crafting, and most of all her generous spirit. Barbara had a unique ability to make everyone feel welcome and cherished, often finding joy in giving to others and nurturing those around her.
She is survived by her children Casty Hobbs (Deana) of Jacksonville and Renae Wynn (Doyle) of Moultrie; grandchildren Lisa, Jenny, Raymond, Chad, Corey, Kyle, Haley, Chris, and Lauren followed by several great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband Raymond Leroy Hobbs, children Lavon Hobbs, Raymond Hobbs, and Robbie Cannady and siblings Christine Lawson, Betty Hitt, Wilson Turner, and Ronald Turner.
A service will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2025 at 2 pm at Allen and Allen’s Celebration of Life Chapel with a visitation from 1-2 pm prior to the service. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
