Barbara Honert Obituary
With love and sadness, the family of Barbara A. Honert announces her passing on Friday, December 19, 2025.
She will be fondly remembered as a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.
She was a devoted member of St. John's Lutheran Church in East Moline.
A private family ceremony honoring her life and entombment will be at Rock Island National Cemetery.

I knew Barbara for several months because she was a close friend of my mother Janet Cummings. They were both living at the senior care facility in Silvis and their rooms were on the same floor and right across the hall from each other. Barbara was so kind to my mom and very helpful in spending time with her at meal times and game times. I would talk with Barbara as my mom and I walked with her to the dining room. I want to share my sense of loss at the passing of Barbara, and pray that the Lord will comfort her family in the coming days as they remember her.

Barbara was a sweet and wonderful neighbor. I missed seeing her in her yard and our little talks we had. May she RIP. Sending my condolences to her children and their familys and all her friends, She will be missed by many. Hugs to all of you

Barbara was such a sweet soul and conversations with her at church brightened up our day. She continued to brighten our days when she moved to New Perspectives because we ran into her often when we visited our mom there. She was always happy to see us and asked about how our family was doing. One of our family's favorite memories was raking her yard in the fall with the church youth group. She is missed. God be with you and grant you peace and comfort.
