Barbara Michelle Horne beloved wife of Tony Horne Jr. entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, surrounded by her family. She was the daughter of Fielden (Bud) Jackson Sr. and Barbara H. Jackson of Augusta, GA. She was a member of Christ Baptist Church in North Augusta.
She graduated from Westside High School in 1993. She attended Augusta State University. She also attended Augusta Tech and had a degree in Childhood Development.
She was a devoted and loving wife and mother and spent many hours with her two children. She was a housewife, and her family was her life.
She loved gardening and enjoyed crafts in her spare time.
Michelle is preceded in death by her father Fielden (Bud) Jackson Sr., her maternal grandparents Emily and William P. Herin of Augusta and paternal grandparents Clarence and Bob Smith of Savannah, GA.
Survivors include her husband Tony Horne Jr. of 19 years, her two children Jackson Guy Horne and Emily Ann Horne, her mother Barbara H. Jackson, her brother Buddy Jackson, and her nieces Mary Elizabeth Jackson, Amber Campbell, and her nephew Jake Martin that she loved very much.
Visitation will be 10:00 am - 11:00 am Monday, July 14, 2025, at Platt’s Funeral Home, 337 North Belair Road Evans, Georgia 30809, with a service at 11:00 in the Chapel of Platts Funeral Home.
A graveside service will be held at Westover Memorial following the service at Platt’s.
Pallbearers will be Paul Herin, Jordan Herin, C.J. Broome, Bradley Belk, Jake Martin and Tommy McNair.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation in memory of her father Bud Jackson to CSRA Parkinson Support Group.
