Barbara Jo Hubanks, 74, Hollis, passed away on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at the Harmon Memorial Hospital, Hollis.
Barbara was born on July 18, 1949 in Altus, Oklahoma to Lee and Christine (Bush) Johnson. She was raised in the Russell community and attended Central View School. She married the love of her life, Charles Terry Hubanks, and the two were married in Hollis, Oklahoma on March 25, 1978. Barbara was full of loved and she shared that with anyone around her. She loved children and treated her nieces and nephews as if they were her own children. Barbara was a member of the Faith Baptist Church and she had a heart for God's Word. She made reading her Bible a priority. She enjoyed animals, especially dogs, embroidery, and reading.
Her parents; two brothers, Fritz and Wayne Johnson; and two sisters, Snookie Hughey and Betty Lou Allen; preceded her in death.
Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband; her sister, Nancy Faulks and husband, Sonny; a brother-in-law, George Hubanks and wife, Joyce; a sister-in-law, Judy Nation; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
