Barbara was proud to be a graduate of St. Mary’s Academy. Her faith guided her through life, leading her to become a cherished member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Maybee. She actively participated in the Women's Guild, contributing her time and talent to various charity events that benefited the community she held dear.
As a devoted mother, Barbara raised her children—Katherine (Michael) Washington, Diane (Jon) Dawson, Sharon Mendoza, Robert Haut Jr., and Barbara Easter—instilling in them the values of love, compassion, and hard work. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her immediate family to her six grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren, all of whom adored her dearly. Left to cherish her memories are her siblings: Mary (Roger) Proffitt, Joan (Ted) Ridder, Patrick (Carla) Girard, Edward (Julie) Girard and Theresa (Jes) Staten. Barbara’s home was a gathering place for family celebrations, filled with joy, laughter, and the unmistakable aroma of her beloved home-cooked meals.

Barbara is reunited in everlasting peace with her parents, who undoubtedly contributed to the values and strength she exhibited in her daily life. She is also reunited with the love of her life, her husband, Robert Haut. Her family's collective memory of her strong spirit, unwavering commitment, and profound love will live on for generations.
