Barbara Hutras Obituary
She was born on November 6, 1931 in Dover and was a daughter of the late James "Carl" and Margaret Ruefly Shaw. Barbara was also preceded in death by her husband, William Hutras on February 18, 2022; brothers, Glenn, Kenny, Dick and Jimmy Shaw; sister, Margaret Ann Bachmeyer.
She, along with her husband, were the co-owners of William Hutras Builders for over 57 years. Barbara was a member of the St. John's United Church of Christ at Dover, and the Dover Mother's Club. She absolutely loved rooting for her beloved Dover Tornadoes, only missing two Dover-Phila games over the years; she was also a big fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes.
Barbara was a kind and gentle soul who will be sadly missed by her sons, Bill (Susan) Hutras of Dublin, Brian (Linda) Hutras of Dover, Chris (Lynda) Hutras of Granville; grandchildren, Wills, Evan, Natalie, Vanessa, Louis, Jackson, Sophia, Chris, and Peter.
Cremation has been entrusted to the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover. A service celebrating Barbara's life will be held on Saturday, August 27th starting at 4:00 pm with Pastor Jill Lovett officiating. The family will be greeting friends one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice at 716 Commercial Ave. SW, New Philadelphia, Ohio 44663.
