Barbara G. Indellini

Barbara Indellini of New Castle DE passed away on January 7, 2024, after a short illness.
Barbara was born to the late Augustine and Norina Indellini on July 2, 1950. She was a lifelong resident
of "Shawtown" where she had many neighborhood friends and fond memories. She was a graduate of
William Penn High School.
She had enjoyed a long career as a Hairstylist where she started at a very young age working with her
mother. Barbara enjoyed sharing stories of growing up in her mother's hair salon. She would laugh as
she retold stories from those days helping style the neighborhood ladies' hair and hearing all the gossip
as they drank coffee and waited their turn to sit in Norina's chair. She continued her mother's legacy for
many decades until she began her 25-year career at Delaware Park until her retirement this past
December.
Barbara loved animals, with a fond affection for cats. She also enjoyed relaxing by watching old classic
movies.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her Son, Jason Indellini.
She is survived by her brothers Augie, Lewis (Felecine), Nephew Lew Jr, and Niece Adrienne. She will
also be dearly missed by many friends, especially her best friend, Norma and neighbors, Patrick & Kim.
Services will be held privately.
