Barbara (Steppe) Jaconski, 89, a lifelong resident of Ellington, died this day 5/15/2025. She is survived by the most important people in the world to her, her son, P. Kurt Jaconski of Coventry, her daughter, Elizabeth Burke (Jim Healy) of Tolland; her grandchildren, Cassandra (Jason) Emery of Crystal Lake, IL, Logan (Jack) White of Vernon, Hawk (Emily) Jaconski of Stafford Springs; her great-grandchildren, Braxton Emery, Livia and Penelope White; her four-legged companion, Surprise; her special nieces Penny and Pat whom she immensely enjoyed their monthly coffee get togethers with; in addition to dear friends and family near and far.
There will be no calling hours or funeral. Please feel free to make a donation to the Cornerstone Foundation of Vernon at www.cornerstone-cares.org or your favorite charity or local food bank. To Barbara´s "Most important people in the world", and you really were! I send you my sympathy at the loss of your Mother and a Dear Friend of mine! We looked forward to getting together again for Pizza at her house and remanissing about the days when we worked together and shared our August birthdays. I will remember Barbara and she will ALWAYS be wearing a HAT!

We enjoyed our coffee time immensely. When she hosted it was always a beautiful set table with fine china and crystal. We´d talk for hours over coffee and delicious desserts. Quite a lady. Memories of love and friendship are treasures to carry with you always.
