Scott Jaconski Obituary

Scott Jaconski
May 22, 1958 - January 16, 2024
Scott Christopher- Francis Jaconski, a cherished and esteemed individual, passed away on January 16, 2024, at the age of 65, after a brief battle with illness. Born on May 22, 1958, in Rockville, CT, to Peter and Barbara Jaconski, Scott was a proud member of the IBEW Local 42 and dedicated his life to his career as a lineman.
Scott's passion for his work and his commitment to excellence led him to become a respected mentor to many in his field. After retiring, he devoted his time to his beloved children, Logan, and Hawk, and their families, cherishing every moment with his granddaughter, "Miss Livey."
Scott was predeceased by his father, Peter Jaconski, and his wife, Catherine, whom he shared 43 beautiful years of marriage; she passed away in January 2023. Scott is survived by his daughter Logan, son-in-law Jack, and granddaughter, Livia White; son Hawk and daughter-in-law Emily Jaconski; mother Barbara Jaconski; sister Elizabeth Burke and brother Kurt Jaconski.
Scott's philosophy of life was simple yet profound: to embrace life's journey wholeheartedly, living it to the fullest and leaving nothing on the table. As he once said, "Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely and in a well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting "hot damn, what a ride!"
In his memory, let us celebrate the vibrant life of Scott Christopher- Francis Jaconski, a man who touched the hearts of many and left an indelible mark on the world.

Scotty was one of the greatest men I´ve ever had the fortune to work with. He made an immeasurable impact on my life, and I´m sure everyone else he came across. I have no doubt he lived a whole and fulfilled life.
Scotty will life forever in stories shared between brothers on the right of way... He leaves behind legendary legacy on the trade. Many men have him to thank for who they are today.

I came across Scott´s Obituary and wanted to express my condolences. Although we haven´t seen each other in many years, I have wonderful memories of times spent with my cousins at Aunt Barbara and Uncle Pete´s home.

Scott was my first mentor I was a local 104 apprentice, but I would go to climbing school and spend time with local 42 hands. He was one of my favorites with the sparkling blue eyes. He will be sorely missed. Much love fly high Scott Love Renee´
