Barbara Ann Jarvis, age 81, of Bemidji, MN passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at her home. She was born on Tuesday, September 7, 1943, in Vancouver, WA, the daughter of Marion (Buck) and Charlotte (Rogge) Aldrich.

Barb graduated from Bemidji High School in 1961 and moved to live with her Aunt Lou in Renton, WA where she met and married Donald V. Jarvis aka "Butch" in 1962. Together they had four children. When things didn't work out for her and Don, she relocated to Bemidji in 1985 where she bought an eighteen-acre homestead and resided there until her passing. During her time in Bemidji, Barb drove for Paul Bunyan Transit for over twenty years. She was also a caregiver for numerous people during that time, and she loved playing that role.

Barb liked to sew and enjoyed mending things for all her friends and family. She was a lifelong member of the Bemidji congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, and she loved to take vacations and travel back to the state of Washington. Barb looked forward to the trips she planned and often took her grandchildren with her, making fun memories as they visited various spots all over the country. She was a breast cancer survivor for over five years before it returned and took her away.

The family that precedes Barb in death are her parents, Marion (Buck) and Charlotte Aldrich, sisters, Sandy Smail and Judy Scarborough, one grandson, Michael Jarvis, several aunts, uncles, and other relatives.

Those she leaves behind to cherish her memory are her sons; Donald and his wife (Tammie) Jarvis of Renton, WA and Chisholm "Chiz" Jarvis of Bemidji, daughters; Donna Jarvis (Toodie) of Bemidji, Joni Ellison of Bonney Lake, WA, and Jacki Jarvis of Bemidji, a special nephew, Billy Scarborough, numerous grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.

Barb's care has been entrusted to the Northern Peace Funeral Home of Walker, MN. Online condolences for the family may be given at www.northernpeace.com
