Barbara Ann Kehler

Barbara Ann Kehler of Mount Carmel passed away on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, three days shy of her 81st birthday at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. She was surrounded by her loving family.

Barb was born on Valentine's Day, February 14, 1945, to Edwin and Alice Witkoski at Shamokin Hospital.

She was a graduate of Mount Carmel High School, Class of 1963.

On September 21, 1974, at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Mount Carmel, she married David P. Kehler. In June of 1975, they welcomed their only son, Mark Kehler. Barb and Dave were married for 40 years before Dave's passing in 2014.

Barb worked at Geisinger Medical Center for a few years before the birth of her son, and then worked locally at PM Video and White Shield, although most people will remember her for her presence behind the counter at Hollywood Pizza and Bakery.

Barb leaves behind her devoted son, Mark, and a daughter-in-law, Jennifer of Elysburg; twin grandchildren, Jillian and Max Kehler, both students at Penn State University, and of whom she was extremely proud. She is also survived by her caring and supportive brother and sister-in-law, Hank and Loretta Witkoski of Mount Carmel; a niece, Shelly Stellar and her husband, Ed, and their children; a nephew, Jeff Witkoski, and his wife, Karen, and their children; and a brother-in-law, Robert Kehler of Colorado.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two sisters-in-law, Lois Dugan and Debbie Kehler.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 20, 2026, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Kay Painter officiating in the C J Lucas Funeral Home Inc., 27 N. Vine St., Mt. Carmel, PA, C J Lucas IV, Supervisor. Burial will follow in Mount Carmel Cemetery. Viewing will be held on Friday, February 20th, from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
