Barbara Blume Klassen, 76, of Brenham passed away April 17, 2024.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Sunday, April 21st at Memorial Oaks Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, April 22nd at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Brenham. Burial will follow at Prairie Lea Cemetery.
Barbara was born on April 11, 1948 to Edward Felix and Dorephy Dorothy Lueckemeyer Blume in LaGrange. June 2001, she was united in marriage to Danny Klassen. Barbara was quite the artist, in her spare time, she loved painting pictures.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law: Eddie and Michele Rogers of Chappell Hill; brothers and sisters-in-law: Bill and Linda Blume of Sealy and Jim and Sue Blume of Humble. Grandchildren, Anna and Garret Ellison, Samantha Rogers and Makenzie Rogers and one great-grandchild, Walker Ellison, and numerous nieces and nephews. Stepdaughters, Lisa Taylor and Lori Trammell.
The family would like to give special thanks to nurse Melanie for her special care to Barbara.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Dan Klassen and her parents.
Pallbearers include: Brandon Blume, Scott Brash, Garret Ellison, Jamie Blume, Stoney Lacina and Jacob McCord.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Barbara's name to Brenham Nursing and Rehab who provided excellent care for Barbara.
