Barbara A. Kraner

Barbara A. (Morrow) Kraner, 91, formerly of New Castle, died on Sunday, November 17, 2024. She was born in New Castle on February 23, 1933, the daughter of the late Arthur and Angie (Knight) Morrow. She was married 49 years, to the late Henry C. Kraner, and together they had seven children. Barbara retired as a Shift Leader on the Pennsylvania Turnpike after 29 years. She also attended First Assembly of God Church.
She leaves behind her daughters, Ann Marie (William) Grimm of Warren, OH, Kathleen (John) Hudak of Mercer, PA, Barbara J. Kraner of New Castle, Faith Kraner of New Castle, Audrey (Christopher) Merck of Midland, PA, and Kimberly (Everett III) Bleakney of Lisbon, OH. She enjoyed her 14 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, E. Arlene (Jack) Montgomery, and Donna Perrone both of New Castle.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her son, Henry W. Kraner, and two brothers, John K. Morrow and Russell Morrow.
Visitation will be held Saturday, November 23, 2024, from 12 PM to 2 PM at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue, where a blessing service will follow at 2:00 PM. Pastor Jeff Schoch will officiate. She will be buried alongside her husband in Harmony Baptist Cemetery.
