Benson, NC: Ms. Barbara Williams Lancaster, age 74, of Tarheel Road passed away on Monday, August 7, 2023 at the SECU Hospice House surrounded by her loving family. Memorial Services will be held 3:00PM Friday, August 11, 2023 at the Rose and Graham Funeral Home Chapel in Benson. Officiating will be Rev. Mark Fields and Dr. Zane Lapenski. Private Entombment will be held at Roselawn Cemetery.
Ms. Lancaster was born on August 15, 1948 in Harnett County to the late Charlie Lewis and Gladys Messer Williams. She was preceded in death by her brother, Lewis Earl Williams, and her sister, Shirley Williams McDaniel. Ms. Lancaster worked as an administrative assistant with the State of North Carolina and retired from the North Carolina Highway Patrol. She was a past member of the BAWO and Benson Foundation of the Arts. Ms. Lancaster attended Benson Pentecostal Holiness Church in Benson.
Survivors include her sons, Victor Lancaster and wife, Emile of Benson, Todd Lancaster and wife, Tonia of Dunn; grandchildren, Kaylen Johnson and husband, Bryan of Dunn, Dylan Lancaster of Tampa, Florida, Hannah Lancaster of Boone, NC, Kelsey Todd Lancaster of Dunn; great-grandchildren, Braylen, Riley, and Kallie Nicole Johnson; sister, Rhonda Lee and husband, John of Benson; several nieces and nephews.
The Lancaster Family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Mrs. Beth Rogers for her love, support, and being a true friend to Barbara for many years.
In lieu of flowers; memorials may be made to the SECU Hospice House, P.O. Box 1376, Smithfield, NC 27577.
The family appreciates your thoughts and prayers during this time and ask that no food donations be made due to the request for privacy during this time.
