Funeral Services for Barbara Jean Lee, 87, of West Monroe, LA, will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, November 24, 2023, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe, LA, with Pastor Gary Tomlinson officiating. Interment will follow in Kilpatrick Serenity Gardens Cemetery in West Monroe, LA, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. until the time of service on Friday.
Jean Lee, born on December 8, 1935, passed away on November 20, 2023, leaving behind cherished memories in the hearts of her loved ones.
Jean was a dedicated church member, having been a longtime member of First Presbyterian Church of Monroe, LA, and more recently, a member of First Methodist Church of West Monroe. She lived a life of service, volunteering for years at North Monroe Hospital and devoting herself to being a loving homemaker.
Jean found joy in various hobbies that enriched her life. Gardening, bird watching, genealogy, sewing, fishing, cats, puzzles, reading books, riding horses, and enjoying lunch at Kayla's Kitchen were all activities that brought her immense happiness.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Wilma Stovall and JC Stovall, her beloved spouse, Tommy Lee, with whom she shared 63 years of marriage, her sister, Betty Stovall, her son-in-law, Lee Pugh, and her daughter-in-law, Angelia Lee. Though they have passed on, their memory lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved them.
Jean is survived by her children, Denise Seidenspinner and her husband, Wayne, Kathy Pugh, Bart Lee, and Barbara Smith and her husband, Scott. Her legacy extends to her grandchildren, including Chris Campbell and his wife, Leah, and Miranda Stone and her husband, Aaron, Dustin Pugh and his wife, Stacey, Jeremy Harrington and his wife, Katy, Jacey Meloy, Matt Lee and his wife, Anna, Travis Smith and his wife, Amy, Chelsey Tomlinson and her husband, Gary, Krista Vocker and her husband, Trey, and Katie Hubbard and her husband, Michael; her great- grandchildren, Thomas, Catherine, and Clark Campbell, Kinsley Stricklin and her husband, Adam, and Ryann Stone, Kaylee and Jase Pugh, Ryan and Ashlynn Harrington, Brodie and Brantley Meloy, Logan and Mary Grace Lee, Joseph and Madi Smith, Elliot and Sarah Tomlinson, Baylee and Fin Johns, and Drew and Tate Vocker; her great-great grandchild, Hazlyn Stricklin; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Chris Campbell, Aaron Stone, Dustin Pugh, Jeremy Harrington, Matt Lee, Travis Smith, Trey Vocker, Michael Hubbard, and Joseph Smith.
Grammy Jean will be remembered for her unwavering love, kind heart, and selflessness. Her presence in the lives of those who knew her will always be cherished. May her soul find eternal peace, and may her family and friends find solace in the memories they shared with her.
