Babara Ann Lee, 86, of Wooster, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at West View Healthy Living.
Barbara was born September 20, 1938, in Wheeling, WV to Joseph and Katherine {Hollis} Sliday.
She married Steve Lee on August 17, 1963. They were devoted to each other until he passed away on December 27, 2022.
Barbara earned a bachelor’s degree in education from West Liberty University.
She was a dedicated elementary teacher at Wooster Township, and used her educational expertise to volunteer with the children’s ministry at Grace Church, where she was a member. She enjoyed being a hostess and was an excellent cook. Flowers made her happy, and she was eager to travel, bravely adapting to life in Mexico for five years. She was a committed caregiver for her mother-in-law, father, and her beloved husband at the end of his life. Many found in her a sympathetic, delightful friend.
Barbara will be deeply missed by her children Michael (Becky) Lee of Wooster and Laura (Paul Simbrat) Lee of Raleigh, NC; the grandchildren she doted on, Ethan, Madeleine, and Audrey Lee; and dearly loved sister, Ellie Lenweaver.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, and husband Steve.
Services will be Friday, March 21, at Grace Church, 4599 Burbank Rd, Wooster (and livestreamed at RobertsFuneralHome.com/obituaries/Barbara-Lee) at 11 am with Pastor Randy Moomaw officiating. A reception will follow immediately after the service at the church. Private burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Online tributes may be made at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com.
