It is with heartfelt sorrow that we announce the passing of Barbara E. Lusk, who peacefully left us on October 28th, 2025, at the age of 90. Born on July 13th, 1935, Barbara graced this world with her gentle spirit and a heart full of joy.
Barbara spent much of her life in Chattanooga, Tennessee, where she dedicated her career to the U.S. Customs Office, after receiving a technical degree from Tennessee Tech. College serving her community with diligence and care. Seeking a quieter pace in her later years, she relocated to Valdosta, where she found peace and contentment in the simplicity of life.
A sweet and humble lady, Barbara, cherished the small pleasures, especially sitting on her porch enjoying a cup of coffee, and maybe a donut from Holt’s bakery. Despite the move, she held dear the times spent returning home to Chattanooga with her beloved granddaughter, Jamie, creating treasured memories filled with love and laughter.
Barbara's life was a testament to finding joy in simplicity and embracing each day with warmth and kindness. Her presence will be deeply missed by her family, who remember her as a loving and devoted soul.
Barbara is survived by her daughter Susan Joy, of Valdosta, GA. Her son Daniel Lusk of Chattanooga TN. Her two granddaughters Jamie Joy and William Anderson of Valdosta GA; Jennifer and Thaddeus Sonne of Panama, FL. As well as three great-grandchildren Matthew, Hagan, and Nora Andserson. And a cousin Ed Roders of Knoxville TN.
Ms. Barbara was preceded by her late parents John and Martha Lynch of Chattanooga TN. Her Husband Richard Lusk. And two brothers John Jr, and Pual Lynch.
No services are planned at this time for Barbara. She leaves behind a legacy of love, grace, and the quiet strength of a life well-lived. Barbara E. Lusk will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
