Barbara McCormick Obituary
Barbara J. "Barb" McCormick, 91, of Carlinville, IL, passed away Friday, December 13, 2024, at her home in Carlinville, IL.
Barb was born May 4, 1933, in Peoria, IL, a daughter of Wilson "Ace" and Marian Robertson Breigel. Barbara graduated from Carlinville High School with the class of 1951. She married Lawrence "Mac", in Carlinville, IL, on June 10, 1955.
After graduating, Barb spent time as a member of the Springfield Muni Opera. She was a member of B.P.W. and Macoupin County Historical Society here she displayed many of her hand embroidered tea towels and pillowcases.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 21, 2024, 10:00 am - 11:00 am at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home, Carlinville, IL.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 am, Saturday, December 21, 2024, at Mayfield Memorial Park Cemetery, Mausoleum of Valor.
Barb is survived by her daughter, Sharon (Jim) Kelmel of Morrisonville, IL, son, Kenneth (Suzanne) McCormick of Virden, IL, grandchildren; Rachel (Jeff) Bethard of Litchfield, IL, Trent (Kendra) Quarton of Springfield, IL, Blake McCormick of Virden, IL, great grandchildren; Ashton, Logan and Clayton Bethard, Thea and Kara Quarton.
Memorials may be made to Macoupin County Historical Society or Benld Adopt-A-Pet.
Davis-Anderson Funeral Homes, LTD, Carlinville is in charge of arrangements.

Barb was such a very nice lady I was happy to know and work with through the Macoupin County Historical Society.
