Barbara Sue McFarland, age 79, of London, passed away on Sunday, June 29, 2025, at St. Joseph London.
Passionate about her hobbies, Barbara was a formidable opponent at the bingo table, and an ardent lover of romantic novels. Above all else, Barbara cherished time with her family. She was a beacon of love and strength who consistently put the needs of her loved ones before her own. Her boys were her world, and their shared memories of Barbara's boundless love and dedication will live on forever.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, James "Mack" McFarland; parents, A.J. Lawson and Opal Worley Lawson; son, Jason "Tank" McFarland; brothers, Barry Lawson and Burney Lawson; and her sister, Beverly Rose.
Barbara is survived by her children, Tabatha Harrell (Terry), Anthony McFarland (Saundra) and Mark McFarland (Angie); grandchildren, Cody Alton (Dana Jespersen), Derek Cooper (Allie), Bailey Harrell, Jeffrey Harrell (Lindsey), Laura Beth McFarland, Matthew McFarland (Kayla), Bronson McFarland (Hailey), Autumn Feltner, Summer Hodge, and Trevor Nelson; Nine great grandchildren; and by numerous other family and friends.
Visitation will be held from 1-3 pm on Friday, July 4, 2025, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, where her funeral service will follow at 3 pm on Friday.
Burial will follow at Corinth Cemetery in Corbin, KY.
Pallbearers will be: Cody Alton, Jeffrey Harrell, Derek Cooper, Stephen Scruggs, Boss (Josh Lewis), Seth McCoy
Honorary Pallbearers: Paul Parsons Jr., Aaron Ellison, Neal Lawson, Cole Lawson, Josh Johnson, Chris Cavellos, Deon Dunbar, Alvin Cole, John Dumlao, Zach Hensley, Dylan McArthur, Shawn Griffith, Cody Smith, and Duane Byrge.
