Barbara McGowan Obituary
Age, 95, Barbara was born in Toronto, Canada, on July 9, 1930. Raised in Detroit, MI, she graduated from Denby High School. She went on to graduate from Michigan State University, in 1952. Shortly after, she began a 43-year career as a flight attendant with Delta Airlines, living and working out of Atlanta, Georgia. She flew a regular route internationally to Germany, and the UK, at the end of her career. She was an adventurous soul, and once retired, traveled the world. She loved genealogy, and worked diligently tracing her family back to Ireland and Scotland. She supported Delta's charities, Roswell Ramblers, and the Humane Society. Daughter of the late John L. and Maria H. McGowan; sister of the late, G.H McGowan. Barbara has once again spread her wings and taken flight on December 17, 2025. To honor her life, donations can be made to the Humane Society.
