Barbara M. McNiff

Barbara M. (Russell) McNiff, age 102, a longtime resident of Dracut, MA, passed away peacefully Friday, January 10, 2025 at D'Youville Senior Care. She was the daughter of the late Howard and Ida Russell, from Lowell, MA. She is predeceased by her beloved husband of 73 years John F. McNiff Jr.
She is survived by one son, Jack McNiff and his wife Marianne of Kissimmee, FL, and three daughters, Linda Leedberg and her husband Raymond of Nashua, NH, Lois Lamarre and her husband Kevin of Dracut MA, and Carol O'Leary and her husband William of Aldie, VA, 11 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.
She is predeceased by three sisters Marion Barker, Shirley Wright and Gail Donahue; three brothers, Raymond Russell, Kenneth Russell, and Frederick Russell; and more recently her grandson Eric Leedberg, of Nashua, NH.
Barbara retired in 1985 after many years at Raytheon. A lover of adventure and travel, she was always planning her next trip cruising, a Hampton beach vacation with family, spending winters in her home in Oldsmar, FL and trips to Foxwoods.
Funeral services and interment were held privately.
