He was president of PATCO, Professional Air Traffic Controller’s Union. In 1981, Bob became self-employed as owner and operator of Call Center Services, Inc., until his retirement in 2005.
Bob was a devout communicant of St. Mary Magdalen Church for most of his life. He served on the Pastoral Counsel, as Lector, and served as head of the building committee. He was most proud of his involvement in building the new church.
Bob was an avid Red Sox and Patriot’s fan and enjoyed reading mystery novels as well as political non-fiction. In the last 40 years he was involved with many non-profit organizations. He was most proud of his time with the Rotary Club of Lowell, where he served two terms as president.
In addition to his wife, Claire, Bob is survived by his sons, David and his spouse, Cynthia and Michael and his spouse, Erica; his daughter, Deborah and her spouse, April Adams; his five grandchildren, Joseph, Emily, Jean-Frederic, Jaques and Sheamus and his fiancée, Isabella; his sister-in-law, Jeannine Turgeon; his brothers-in-law, Armand Lagasse and his wife, Sylvia and Albert Jean; as well as several nieces and nephews.
