Barbara Ann Meeks, 81, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away on September 18, 2024 at Millers Merry Manor in New Carlisle.
Barbara was born on April 5, 1943, in Morgantown, WV, to Elden and May (Savage) Coburn.
Barbara married Harry Wilson Meeks, Sr. who preceded her in death. Surviving are her children, Belinda Metheny, Harry Meeks, Jr., Cindy (Jeff) Coffman, Jeff Meeks, and Nathan (Anna) Meeks, all of La Porte; son-in-law, Carney Butler of La Porte; brother, Chuck Coburn; sister, Jean Flinchum; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great, great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sons, Christopher and Michael Meeks; daughter, Sandy Butler; son-in-law, Raymond Metheny, Jr.; and brothers, Robert, Rick, and Ronald Coburn.
Barbara enjoyed exercising including walking and bike riding. She especially loved her grandkids.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center with Pastor Jeff Zigler officiating. Burial will follow at Patton Cemetery.
A time of visitation will be held from 4 - 7 p.m. on Tuesday, September 24, 2024 and from 10 am until the time of the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
