Barbara June Morehead, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on Friday, February 16, 2024, at her home. She was born on May 14, 1938, in Adair, Oklahoma. Barbara's life will forever be cherished and celebrated by those who had the privilege of knowing her.
Barbara was a remarkable woman of God who read her Bible daily and could always be found watching the gospel channel on television. She always encouraged those around her to attend church, take time to read the Bible and pray. Her family was at the center of her world, and she dedicated herself to caring for them with unwavering love and devotion. Her children and grandchildren held a special place in her heart, and she always went above and beyond to ensure their happiness and well-being.
Known for her artistic talents and creative spirit, Barbara found joy in various forms of art. She had a passion for mosaic art, creating beautiful stained-glass pieces, and crafting unique collages. Her artistic endeavors allowed her to express herself creatively while leaving lasting impressions on those who admired her work. In addition to her artistic pursuits, Barbara had a fondness for all things glitzy and blingy. She had an eye for sparkle and glamour that brought light into every room she entered. Her vibrant personality radiated from within, leaving an indelible impression on all who knew her.
Barbara's love extended beyond her immediate family to include a deep affection for animals. She never turned down an opportunity to provide love and care to those furry companions who crossed her path. Her compassionate nature touched the lives of countless animals who found comfort in her nurturing presence.
One of Barbara's proudest accomplishments was cultivating a beautiful flower garden that drew admiration from all who saw it. Passersby would often stop to take pictures of the vibrant blooms. Young men would approach Barbara requesting permission to cut some flowers as tokens of affection for their significant others, and without hesitation, she always said yes.
She is survived by her daughter, Jamie Littlefield, of the home; son, Jerry Littlefield of Pryor; and daughter Christine Littlefield of Pryor; her brother Melvin Briggs and wife Patsy of Sherman, Texas; as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; her beloved dogs, Little Bear, Pookie, and Baby, and her cat, Star.
