Gerald Chambers Morehead (1943-2026) – "Jerry"

Jerry Morehead, 83, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 22, 2026, in Lehighton, PA. He was born in Philadelphia, PA, to the late William Morehead and Hazel (nee Phelps) Morehead. Jerry is survived by his two children, Robert Morehead and Stephanie (Morehead) Noce, son-in-law, Philip Noce, and two grandchildren, Jonathan and Christopher Noce. He will be dearly missed by his family and good friends including Wilbur and Adriana Flores.

Jerry was a member of the Community Presbyterian Church in Mountainside, NJ. He worked for many years as the Property Manager/Comptroller of Church at the Crossroads in East Orange, NJ. Prior to that, Jerry had an extensive career in banking and finance (Carteret Savings Bank, Waterhouse, among others).

Jerry will be remembered for his devotion to his faith, his love of music, and his kindred companionship with his dogs. He was passionate about singing on Sundays for various churches over the years with his ex-wife, Susan. He also loved the amazing family dogs who were his companions including: Penny, Coco, Lily, Sammy, Gracie, Charlie, K-9, Angelique, and Penelope.

Jerry held a bachelor's degree, and he was also an army veteran who was stationed in Germany in the Vietnam War.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to VALOR, a nonprofit organization serving local veterans, in honor of Jerry's military service.

No services are scheduled at this time. The Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209, Brodheadsville, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
