Cumberland, MD – Barbara Jean (Wakefield) Morgan, 79, of Cumberland, MD, passed away Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at UPMC-Western Maryland.

Born January 8, 1947, in Cumberland, MD, Mrs. Morgan was the daughter of the late Roy David Wakefield and Dorothy Marie (Moore) Wakefield. She was also preceded in death by her husband: Ronald Wayne Morgan; and her sister: Karen Phillips; and was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

A Graduate of Fort Hill High School, Class of 1965, Barbara worked for C&P Telephone Company in Baltimore, and then for AT&T. She moved back to Cumberland in 1986 and worked for the Allegany County Transit Authority, later retiring from that position.

Barbara is survived by her children: Rhonda Connor and husband, Robert; and Robbie Morgan; two grandchildren: Joshua Connor and wife, T.J.; and Jacob Connor and fiancée, Brandy; and two great grandchildren: Vivian and Turner Connor; as well as several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her special friend: Carolyn Lipscomb; and her in-laws: Becky and Doug Willoughby; Jim and Mitzi Morgan; Beanie Morgan; and Jeanie Morgan.

Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur Street, Cumberland, MD, (www.AdamsFamilyFuneralHome.com) on Friday, February 20, 2026, from 12:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 P.M., with Chaplain Seth Wharton officiating.

Interment will be in Hillcrest Burial Park.
