PEORIA – Barbara E. Necessary, 92, passed away Friday, December 19, 2025, at Bickford Place in Peoria.
She was born on February 27, 1933, in Springfield, Illinois, to Jesse and Mary (Bercinch) Huckeby. She married Donald Necessary on November 4, 1951, in Springfield, Illinois. He preceded her in death on December 31, 1975. She was also preceded in death by two siblings, Robert Huckeby and Margaret Hankins.
Surviving are her children, Don Necessary of Peoria, Joellen (Tom) Pfister of Morton, Bob (Debbie) Necessary of Groveland; seven grandchildren, Justin (Megan) Pfister, Mary Jo (Kevin) Turner, Kelly (Donnie) Jolly, Theresa Necessary, Stacey (Joel) Wilson, Cali Pfister, Michael (Megan) Necessary; 13 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Bonnie Ranson.
Barbara was Corporate Secretary to Bank Plus in Morton until they merged with Heritage Bank and Trust Company.
Memorials may be made to Tazewell Animal Protective Society (TAPS).
A funeral service for Barbara will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, December 26, 2025, at Knapp-Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Center. Visitation will be prior to the service from 9 to 10 a.m. Burial we be in McLean Cemetery in McLean, Illinois.
