Barbara Nethery Obituary
She was born October 23, 1936 in Spencer County, Kentucky to the late A. D. and Willie Mae Nation Barnett.
She was a member of Highland Baptist Church. She retired from Warren Circuit and District Courts in Bowling Green, Ky. Barbara enjoyed being outside and working in her yard.
Besides per parents Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Shirley E. Nethery, her son, Neil A. Nethery, her brothers, Tommy and Scott Barnett and her sisters, Henrietta Ritter and Charlotte Arington.
She is survived by her son, Bradley A. Nethery of Elizabethtown, her grandsons, Ryan Patrick Nethery (Alexis deBoschnek), Sean Thomas Nethery (Maureen), Neil Alan Nethery, great grandson, Thomas Elliot Nethery, her sister, Betty Barnett, her sisters in law, Susan Barnett and Janet Burgin and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 3:00 P.M. Thursday, January 1, 2026, at the Shannon Funeral Home. Visitation will be after 1:00 P.M. until time of service.
In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made to Highland Baptist Church, 511 Mt. Eden Road, Shelbyville, KY 40065.
