Barbara Anne (Cook) Olmstead, died on September 20, 2023. She was 79.
Barbara was born on March 5, 1944, to parents William and Geraldine Baldwin, in Seattle, Washington. The family moved to California and settled in Watsonville where she attended local schools and graduated from Watsonville High School.
She met and married Carl Olmstead. Soon she welcomed her beloved only child, daughter Tammy. She worked for Corralitos Electric for over 20 years and then worked as a cake decorator for Safeway Supermarket for many years until her retirement.
Barbara enjoyed gardening, crocheting, sewing, and cooking. But most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren, whom she loved dearly. Barbara bravely fought chronic lymphocytic leukemia for 30 years. She was an incredibly strong woman and will be missed deeply by her family and friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Tammy Olmstead, two grandchildren, and her sister Nettie Cook.
