Barbara J. Osmon, of Waukesha, WI, peacefully passed away on April 27, 2025. She was born and raised in Brookfield, WI. The daughter of Ernest J. and Mary V. LaMonte and the sister of Richard LaMonte, all deceased.
Barbara is survived by her loving husband, Bruce L. Osmon, with whom she shared nearly 54 years of marriage. She is also survived by her son, Dwight (Paola) Osmon, her daughters Suzanne (Gavin) Mitich and Rebecca (Michael) Auskings, all living in Waukesha County, WI. Barbara has eight wonderful grandchildren, Isaac, Elijah and Isabelle (Ricardi) Osmon, Eliza, Claudia and Graham Mitich, and William and James Auskings.
Family was very important to Barbara and she relished being the hostess of family Holiday gatherings and other get-togethers such as family vacations to the outer banks of North Carolina. When Barbara visited her grandchildren, she always brought along a creative craft project for them to work on with her. A teacher by profession, she always wanted to nurture their creative side.
Barbara was an avid gardener and bountiful flower beds are abundant in her yard, a testament to her love for the beauty of nature. A history teacher, she traveled to many historic sites with her husband, family and friends.
In her later years, she loved playing cards and board games with her friends, family and grandchildren. She also tended her beloved flower gardens and attended as many Mah Jongg sessions as time would permit.
Barbara choose to forgo a formal funeral due to her abhorrence of the process. There will be a private family service to honor her. If you would like to pay your respects, please say a prayer for her and, if you like, donate a gift in her memory to The Michael J. Fox Foundation or the Parkinson's Foundation for the continued research to conquer this horrible disease.
Please consider a donation as requested by the family.
