Barbara "Bobby" Ann Owens, 84, of Fayetteville, AR passed away Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale.
She was born Tuesday, April 29, 1941, in Fort Smith to Coy William and Willa "Billie" Ruth Fancher Snow.
Bobby grew up in Huntsville, driving the town streets at an early age and being so proficient behind the wheel no driver's test was ever necessary. She graduated from Huntsville High School and after briefly attending business college in Tulsa, married her sweetheart, Carl Ray Owens on February 27, 1960. They settled in Fayetteville, raising two sons, Timothy Ray and Craig. She was a devoted homemaker and mother and attended the Sequoyah United Methodist Church in Fayetteville. Bobby enjoyed her trips to Branson, attending shows and browsing through bookstores. Reading was a passion, and she was particularly fond of the Dickson Street Bookstore.
She had a gift for storytelling and visiting, and she loved spending time at the beauty shop catching up with friends. Bobby was a kind and thoughtful person who took joy in baking brownies and sharing them with others; in fact, anyone who stopped by her home could count on being offered a warm brownie and a kind conversation. She adored her dog, Tessie, and held her family close to her heart.
Being a mother and grandmother was a great joy, and she and her grandsons treasured their time together.
Bobby was preceded in death by her parents, Coy and Billie Snow.
She is survived by her loving husband, Carl Owens of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Timothy Ray and Sheri Owens, of Fayetteville and Craig and Chris of Hermitage, Tennessee; one sister, Joye Bolinger, of Huntsville; and two grandsons, Matthew Owens (fiancée Logan Beyer) of Cambridge, Massachusetts, and Mark Owens of Denver, Colorado. She is also survived by one niece, Amy Culver (Rick) of Springdale; one nephew, Bret Bolinger (Kim) of Springdale; and two grand nieces, Katelyn Slane and MaKenna and Walter Kimes, of Elkins.
Graveside Service will be 2:00 PM, Friday, November 7, 2025, at Sparks Cemetery with Tish Aaserude officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Barbara's name may be made to Paws and Claws Pet Shelter, PO Box 364, Huntsville, AR, 72740.
Services are entrusted to Brashears Funeral Home and Crematory of Huntsville.
