Dixie Faye Carter, 81, of Springdale; passed away Sunday, November 2, 2025, at Fayetteville Health and Rehab Center, Fayetteville. She was born Monday, April 24, 1944, at Huntsville; to Vernon William and Bessie Bell Smith Middleton.
Dixie married her sweetheart, Charles Theodore Carter, on Monday, September 16, 1963, and together they were blessed with two sons, Charles and Bruce. She was a devoted homemaker who truly cherished being at home. Whether she was sitting outside watching the birds, tending to her daily tasks, or preparing a barbeque meal for her family, home was where she was happiest. She also enjoyed peaceful days spent fishing, but it was the comfort and warmth of home that always brought her great joy.
Dixie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles Carter; her parents, Vernon and Bessie Middleton; and one brother, Bobby Middleton.
She is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, Charles Wayne Carter, of Nob Hill, and Bruce Lynn and Andrea Carter, of Hindsville; and two brothers and one sister-in-law, Ray and Rocki Middleton, of Huntsville and Kenneth Middleton, of Lowell. She is also survived by one grandchild, Hunter Lynn Carter, of Hindsville as well as many friends and family who will miss her dearly.
The family will receive friends from 9:00 AM-10:00 AM, Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at Brashears Funeral Home. Funeral Service will immediately follow at 10:00 AM with Terry Easterling officiating. Pallbearers will be Cody Middleton, Rodney Middleton, Randy Middleton, Hunter Carter, Wayne Carter, and Bruce Carter.
