Barbara H. Papp passed away on December 25, 2024 in Salem, Oregon. She joined her husband, Louis F. Papp, whom she dearly missed.
Barbara was born on October 14, 1941 to Frederick & Elizabeth (Potter) Holzapfel in New Brunswick, New Jersey. She and Louis met through the same circle of friends and then later married on April 29, 1961 in New Brunswick. Barbara attended school and became a nurse, working in hospitals and doctor's clinics. She and Louis both retired in 1995.
Barbara attended St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Milltown, New Jersey, then later attended Plainsboro Presbyterian. She was a deacon at the Metropolitan Community Church in Hagerstown, Maryland.
Aside from raising three generations of kids, Barbara had many hobbies. She loved watching police and crime TV shows and doing word search puzzles. She had a soft spot for animals. Barbara had an infectious laugh and was always up to having a good time. She especially enjoyed searching for bargains and traveling. She was fortunate to visit many places in the United States and Europe and go on cruises.
Barbara is survived by her family: her daughters, Deborah Capamaggio and Amanda Papp; her sons, David Papp and Brandon Papp; her granddaughter, Lisa Blizzard; her grandson, Andrew Capamaggio; and two great-grandchildren. Her family wishes that all remember her with a kind thought and the knowledge that she did her best to raise three generations of kids to the best of her ability. She will be missed.
