Barbara Ann Parks passed away peacefully on January 14, 2025 at the age of 80.
She was born on April 20, 1944, in Sackets Harbor, to the union of William and Ethel Haeslip Maslen. She was a 1962 graduate of Watertown High School and joined the workforce upon completion. She served as a motor assembler at Northland Electric for 30 years and later as a direct care staff member at Jefferson Rehabilitation Center.
Barbara truly lived her life to the fullest. She enjoyed the fellowship with friends and family, cooking, watching gameshows, and reading. She was a tremendously strong woman, tenacious, and a dedicated person who always put the needs of others above her own. Barbara's giving personality, fiery spirit, and witty sense of humor brought warmth and joy to many. Her life will be celebrated by everyone who knew and loved her.
She was predeceased by her parents, William and Ethel Maslen, brothers Donnie, Bill, Fred, Tommy, Bob, and her sister, Joyce.
Barbara leaves to cherish her memory: her faithful companion and confidant, Patricia Parker, Watertown, NY; siblings Marilyn Longamore, Murfreesboro, TN, and Richard Maslen, Central Square, NY, and many other cherished family and friends.
A memorial service will be held on January 26, 2025 at 3:00 PM, at Calcium Community Church, 26816 NY-342, Calcium, NY. There will be a reception following. Donations, flowers, and cards can be sent to 708 Gilbert Street, Watertown, NY.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Cleveland Funeral Home, Inc., Watertown. Online condolences can be made at www.clevelandfhinc.com.
