Barbara Ann Peddle, age 74, born and raised in Lake Forest, died peacefully on February 11, 2021 in the comfort of her home.
She worked as a bookkeeper for Boy Scouts of America for 14 years and retired in 2011. She previously worked at Lake Forest Bank & Trust, PaineWebber, White Weld & Co. Barbara had a heart of gold and enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephew and their families. She had a passion for old movies, trivia, music, playing cards, an avid sports fan especially the Cubs and Bears. Barbara was fortunate to be loved by many and will be dearly missed.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ronald and Edith (Aquelino) Peddle, brother-in-law Ralph C. Dunn, Jr.
Surviving family include her sister Nancy Dunn (John) McCaughey, Apache Junction, Arizona; her brother James (Mary Butterfield) Peddle, Three Lakes, WI, nieces Kari Dunn (Kent) Volpe, Libertyville, IL, Kelli Dunn (Rob) Johns, Green Oaks, IL, Fitz (Cristl Huhnke) Dunn; Lake Bluff, IL, Heather Peddle Mulhearn, Gilbert, AZ, Hillary Peddle (Steve) Zank, Green Bay, WI. Great Nephews/Nieces; Brian (Brooke) Johns, Kevin Johns, Scott Johns, Elsabeth Dunn, Cameron Mulhearn, Jimmy Mulhearn and Madison Zank.
A memorial gathering from 10am until the memorial service at 10:30am on Thursday, February 25, 2021 at Gorton Community Center, 400 East Illinois Road, Lake Forest, IL 60045. Interment will immediately follow at St. Mary Cemetery, Sheridan and Spruce Roads, Lake Forest, IL.
