Neshanic Station, NJ – Barbara (nee Spear) Prokopik, 84, entered into eternal life on Friday, November 24, 2023 at Hunterdon Care Center in Flemington, NJ with loving family by her side. Born and raised in Newark, NJ, daughter of the late Stanley and Anastasia (nee Kulbaba) Spear, she resided in Kenilworth, NJ from 1963-1985 and then settled in Neshanic Station.
Barbara was a woman with strong faith and was a parishioner of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church in Three Bridges, NJ. She was very active with the Sisters of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton and had also helped with the church's Confirmation program. While residing in Kenilworth, Barbara was an active parishioner at St. Theresa Roman Catholic Church and had led the CCD program for over fifteen years. Barbara was a self-employed meeting planner. She was a controller for Cavagna North America, Inc. in Branchburg, NJ and for the American Heart Association's New Jersey Chapter. Barbara enjoyed traveling visiting over 50 countries on all 7 continents, attending almost all of the latest Broadway openings, and had an eclectic taste in music. Always the hip "Grammy", while in Hungary this year she was amongst the concert-goers at the Billie Eilish show. However, what she enjoyed most was spending time with family and friends.
Barbara is survived by her beloved husband of sixty-one years, Edward James Prokopik, Sr., with whom she joined hands in Holy Matrimony on May 5, 1962; two loving sons, Edward James Prokopik, Jr. of Honolulu, HI and Glenn Michael Prokopik and his wife Tracy Devine of Whitehouse Station, NJ; and five cherished grandchildren, Logan, Josse, EJ, Olivia, and Kendall.
Relatives and friends are invited to join together for Barbara's viewing on Monday, November 27, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and on Tuesday, November 28, from 9:30-10:15 a.m. at Countryside Funeral Home, 724 Route 202 North, Three Bridges, NJ 08887. The funeral services will begin on Tuesday, November 28, at 10:15 a.m. from the funeral home followed by an 11:00 a.m. funeral mass at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church in Three Bridges with Fr. Thomas J. Serafin, V.F., KCHS officiating. The disposition will be private. Memorial contributions may be made in Barbara's name to the Steeplechase Cancer Center, 30 Rehill Avenue, Somerville, NJ 08876 or 866-742-5762. Barbara was a sweet, generous and gracious woman who always made time for her family of faith at SEAS! We will miss her adventurous stories and the love she had for her family. May she rest in peace!

Sorry to hear about your wife Eddie. My prayers to you and your family. My wife always remembers her wanting to give us your seats at the Randy Travis concert at the Patriots stadium because she knew she was a big fan of his. God bless you all.
