Barbara Jo "Country Girl", 85, passed away peacefully on January 26, 2026, in Okeechobee, Florida.

Barbara was born in Coffee County, Alabama on July 20,1940 to the late parents Bena & Cleve Johnson. Her family moved to Florida in the 1950's where she met and married Walter "Wally" James Weeks who predeceased her in death.

Barbara has two surviving daughters, Luan Walker and Carol "Midgie" Guettler. She is also survived by her two sisters, a stepdaughter, Wendy and husband, Harry Rainey, and her much loved 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

Barbara was a waitress at the iconic Rialto Restaurant and raced stock cars at the Treasure Coast Speedway. She went on to become an owner operator of semi-trucks hauling fertilizer products at Diamond R for 25 years. She was proud to fulfill her dream of long-haul trucking across the United States in her beloved Peterbilt when she remarried Harry Rainey.

Her lifelong passion for trucking carried her across the 48 states and bold spirit made "Country Girl" a legend over the Florida Highways.

Barbara was preceded in death by her brothers, Cecil and Buck Johnson and a sister, Agnes Davis. She had a love for animals, especially her dogs, Tater, Jetter & Baby who also predeceased her in death.

A Graveside Service will be held at Hillcrest Memorial N., US #1, Ft. Pierce, FL, on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at 11:30 am. The family requests wearing red / black.
