Barbara Jean Rhodes, 79, of Clearwater, FL passed away on May 28th, 2022. She was born to loving parents, Jack and Marjorie, in Patterson NJ on June 22nd, 1942. Barbara grew up in Mentor on the Lake Ohio, near Cleveland.

Barbara met and fell in love with Lawrence Rhodes when they were in high school. They were high school sweethearts and went on to get married in 1961 in Honolulu HI after Lawrence joined the service.

The family moved to Florida in 1974 where Barbara became active member of St. Cecelia's Catholic Church and bible study.

She was an avid Tampa Bay Lightning Fan- her favorite players were Victor Hedman and Patty Maroon. She loved enjoying the Stanley Cup and went to all three that were local. Barbara was also a Tampa Bay Buccaneer Fan.

Barbara worked at Belcher Elementary School before retiring in 2006. She loved to bowl , walk on beach, watch All Star cheer, go to sporting events , movies and just be around her family and friends, including the dogs.

Barbara had a weak spot for chocolate and she loved to travel – She would take an annual cruise every year before COVID started.

Barbara is predeceased by her husband, Lawrence Rhodes, and parents, Jack and Marjorie.

She is survived by her children, Catherine Rhodes and Russell (Krissy) Rhodes, and grandchildren, Brittany, Matthew, and Michael Rhodes.
