Barbara Rivers Obituary
Born in Philadelphia, Barbara was the daughter of the late Charles and Helen (Massimo) Lautenbach. She was the beloved wife of Beverly G. Rivers. The couple shared almost 54 years of marriage.
Barbara had been employed by Downingtown Area School District for more than 30 years. She loved cooking and spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband, Barbara is survived by her children: Charles Brutsche of Philadelphia, Karen Brutsche of West Chester, and Kristina Krausse (Kristian) of Downingtown; grandchildren: Rachel, Annabelle, Ethan, Lily, and Elise; siblings: Maria Cain (Tom) and Helena McGinnis (Sean); sister-in-law: JoAnne Lautenbach; and her beloved Shih Poo, Dusty.
In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her siblings: Charles "Buddy" Lautenbach, and Christopher Lautenbach.
Services will be conducted privately at the convenience of the family
Memorial contributions in Barbara's name may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer's Association.
