Barbara Joyce Ross, 80, of Grovetown, Georgia, entered into rest on October 23, 2024. She was born on May 30, 1944 to Joseph Saxon and Helen Waterhouse-Saxon in Augusta, Georgia.
Barbara Ross was a seasoned educator at Evans High School. She taught physical education for over 30 years and substituted for other teachers often, English being her favorite subject. She had a passion for knowledge, as well as her students. Barbara also had a deep love for her family and cherished every moment spent with them, creating memories of joy, laughter, and warmth.
Barbara Ross is survived by her daughter, Lillian Borseth, her sister, Norwood Strother, and grandchildren, Edith, Jonathon, Isaac, and Evelynn. She is proceeded in in death by her parents, Joseph and Helen.
A visitation will be held at Platt's Funeral Home in Evans, Georgia, on Sunday, November 3, 2024, from 2-4pm in remembrance of Barbara Ross.
