Barbara Ann Rotondi, age 70, of Dover, and formerly of Newnan, Georgia, passed away Sunday, May 25, 2025, at The Inn at Northwood Village.
Born March 4, 1955, in Fontainebleau, France, near Paris, where her parents lived while Barbara's father was in the United States Air Force. She was the daughter of the late Cecil L. and Irene (Bettinger) Capps. Barbara graduated from Suitland High School in Forestville, Maryland, and went on to study at the University of Maryland, earning a bachelor's degree in computer science. She married Ronald Joseph "Ron" Rotondi on July 5, 1975, and the couple shared nearly 49 years of marriage prior to Ron's passing on March 16, 2024, living and befriending people from Ijamsville, Maryland, to Woodstock, Georgia, to Newnan, Georgia. She was employed for years by AT&T in Atlanta.
Barbara loved to sew and was a lifelong quilter. She was also a collector of many things but was especially fond of sewing machines - owning over 100. Additionally, she shared Ron's passion for Chevrolet Corvettes, which the couple collected and restored. They belonged to several Corvette clubs over the years and enjoyed Autocrossing, tours, and gatherings.
Barbara is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Peggy Sue and Don Biancamano of Dover; her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Linda Rotondi of Amherst, Massachusetts; and her nieces and nephews, and cousins in Alabama, her father's birthplace.
Barbara will be cremated through the care of the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory, Dover. A private committal service will be held in Dover's St. Joseph Calvary Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest with Ron and her parents.
In recognition of the wonderful end-of-life care Barbara received, the family suggests that contributions in her memory be made to Crossroads Hospice, 3743 Boettler Oaks Dr. Ste. E, Uniontown, Ohio 44685.
