Barbara Jean Schell, age 93, of Geneva, PA passed away at her home on Saturday August 16, 2025. She was born on July 18, 1932 in Geneva, PA to the late John Martin and Theresa Elizabeth (Anthony) Wheaton. She married William Henry Schell. He preceded her in death.

Barb worked in housekeeping at Holiday Inn. She was a member of the Greenwood Fire Department Auxiliary. She enjoyed bowling, gardening, square dancing, fishing and camping. She loved making quilts and table runners for her family and making wood workings for her yard. She also enjoyed spending time with all of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her sons, Vic Schell and his wife, Gail of Springboro, PA and James Schell of Geneva, PA and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Carol Wheaton Talkington of Meadville, PA and her brothers, Bruce Wheaton of Geneva, PA and David Wheaton and his wife, Darlene of Cochranton, PA.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her sons, Edward Schell and William Schell Jr.; her daughter-in-law, Joann; her great-grandson, Hunter Schell; her great-granddaughter, Gina Schell and her brother, Gilbert V. Wheaton.

Family and friends are invited to call on Friday August 22, 2025 from 4:00-7:00 pm and Saturday August 23, 2025 at 11:00 am for the funeral service with David Wheaton officiating at Dickson Funeral Home and Crematory, 130 N. 2nd St., Conneaut Lake, PA 16316. Burial will immediately follow at Geneva Memorial Cemetery.
