Barbara Ann Schuster
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Barbara Schuster (Peters), on November 7th, 2025, at the age of 87. She passed peacefully in her home, surrounded by her family and loved ones.
Having suffered the loss of her beloved husband Richard in 1974, Barbara was a single mother who raised their 4 children with strength and determination, and most of all, love, which was a fundamental aspect of Barabara's personality. She was the cornerstone of her family and lived for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Barbara was kind and open-hearted, often offering a comforting hug, a listening ear, or just a joyful laugh, which is why so many who knew her, loved her.
Barbara is survived by her children and grandchildren, Diane (Heather & Tina), David (Wife Marian), Darlene (Ryan, Rebecca, Luis, Brendan), and Donna (Sara, Jonathan, Samantha), her many great-grandchildren, and many others who consider her a grandmother, as well as her brother George Peters. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard, her parents, and siblings.
Her last few years were often times frustrating for Barbara with health problems and sickness, but the team at MKE Metro South Hospice took amazing care of her and always took extra time for her, especially Jenny and Latonya. While she loved everyone on the team, Barbara's two favorite care-takers were her granddaughter Heather and great-granddaughter Kiyara, who loved being able to spend extra time with their grandmother. Throughout it all, she never lost her love of playing cards, doing her word searches, or trying to sneak snacks.
Visitation will take place on November 14, 2025, at Krause Funeral Home, 12401 West National Avenue, New Berlin, WIsconsin, 53151 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM. Service 1:00 PM.
While we will miss our mother and grandmother dearly, we take comfort in the peace she now has being reunited with her family and husband, and know that her spirit of strength, unconditional love, and joy will live on in all who knew her.
