Barbara J. Shook, 91, of Martinsville, Ohio passed away Wednesday, October 1, 2025. Her husband, James W. Shook, preceded her in death February 12, 2001. They were married April 21, 1956. She was born August 24, 1934 in Clinton County, Ohio, daughter of the late Pete and Cleo Howell. She was a graduate of Wilmington High School.

Mrs. Shook retired in 2013 after serving as the director of the New Vienna Senior Citizens Center. She was a longtime member of the Mount Olive Church of Christ as well as a member and former president of the church's Ladies Aid. She enjoyed making crafts and was a member of the Mount Olive Sewing Club in New Vienna. Barbara was a 4-H advisor for 25 years and had served on the Clinton County Fair Board.

She is survived by her children, Ricky Ray Gregory of Sabina, Ohio, Robyn Sue (Rick) Garner of Florida, Kimberly K. (Jay) Harte of Arizona, and Karen Lynn (Harold) Watters of Martinsville, Ohio; grandchildren, Zachary (Whitney) Harte of Arizona, Joshua (Becky) Harte of Arizona, Harold Lee Watters Jr. of Martinsville, Ohio, and Ashley Lynn (Jordan) Hufford of Georgia; and five great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, two brothers and a sister are preceded in death.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, October 10, 2025 at New Antioch Cemetery.
