Mrs. Barbara Rae "Smith" Shubert, 88, of Gainesville, passed away Friday, April 04, 2025 at her residence following an extended illness.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, April 06, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. in the Cemetery of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. Jack Thomas will officiate.
Born on November 08, 1936 in Comer, Ga, she was the daughter of the late Denver and Sue Smith. Mrs. Shubert retired from Ayers Enterprise as an accountant, and was a member of New Holland Baptist Church. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Dallas P. Smith.
Mrs. Shubert is survived by her husband of 69 years, Robert Ray Shubert of Gainesville, her son and daughter-in-law, Alan and Lori Shubert of Gainesville, her son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Susan Shubert of Nashville, grandson, Stan Shubert of Gainesville, grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Clay and Katie Shubert of Huntsville, AL, granddaughters; Stephanie Fite of Gainesville, Chloe Shubert of Nashville, Summer Shubert of Nashville, her great-grandchildren; Stella Coy and Gunner Fite, her sister, Dallette Shewbert of Cleveland, and her brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Pam Smith of Gillsville.
Memorial Park Funeral Home, 2030 Memorial Park Rd., Gainesville, Ga. 30504 is in charge of the arrangements.
