David Kevin Combs, 67, of Oakwood, Georgia, passed away peacefully in his home on August 28th, 2025.

Born in St. Louis, Missouri, and raised in Ohio, Kevin was the beloved eldest son of Ollah and Nancy Combs. A lifelong mechanic, Kevin had a gift for working with his hands and spent his career keeping everything from golf course equipment to school buses running smoothly. He was humble and quiet, always happy to help others, and took great care in everything he did.

Beyond his work, Kevin lived a life full of curiosity, adventure, and love. He had a passion for motorcycles, old cars, the open road, and exploring the outdoors. He was an avid reader, always eager to learn something new, and he especially cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren. Whether he was boating on Lake Lanier, traveling to visit family, or simply enjoying time with his dogs, Kevin found joy in life's simple moments.

Kevin is survived by his mother, Nancy Combs; his loving wife and high school sweetheart, Sharon Combs; their daughter Erin Riley, son-in-law Chris Riley; their daughter-in-law Kylie Combs; his siblings Mark Combs, Brian Combs, and Amy Kroger; and his cherished grandchildren: Zander, Jonah, Evelyn, Cohen, Holden, and Riker. He was a proud grandfather, known as Papa Flash, and a steady, loving presence in his family's life.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ollah Combs, and his beloved son, Jason Combs.

A private graveside service and burial will be held at Memorial Park Funeral Home in Gainesville, Georgia.

Kevin will be remembered for his quiet strength, his gentle spirit, and the deep love he had for his family
