Barbara June Singleton, 74, passed away from this life on Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at the Jean Waddle Care Center surrounded by her husband, daughter, and grandchildren.

She was born in Letcher Co., Kentucky on June 14, 1950; daughter of the late Mattie (Day) Cox and Jack Adams.

She worked at American Greetings in Danville for many years. Barbara gained many friends that were like family during her time there.

Barbara loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-granddaughters. Barbara also enjoyed cooking and baking for the holidays, crocheting, and going to the beach. She loved animals, gardening and sitting on the front porch.

Barbara always wanted to make sure each and everybody around was happy and taken care of. She leaves behind her husband Bobby Singleton whom she married on May 10, 1969; as well as her daughter, Amanda Singleton; her grandchildren, Keanan & (Taylor) Mahoney, Sierra & (Brandon) Baker, Mikalee Mahoney, Shelby & (James) Sandlin, Cameron Mahoney; her great-granddaughters, Raelynn Baker, Winona Baker, and Nova Mahoney; three brothers, Astor Michael Cox, David Lee Cox & (Donna), and Jeff Adams; and many nieces and nephews that will greatly miss her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Angela Mahoney; a son-in-law, Michael Mahoney; and a brother, Bill Adams.

In lieu of flowers the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Barbara Singleton Memorial Fund C/O Morris & Hislope Funeral Home P.O. Box 159 Science Hill, Kentucky 42553

A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Friday, October 25, 2024 at the chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Sis. Jessica Hall officiating.

Burial will be in Singleton Cemetery.

The family will receive friends after 11 AM Friday, October 25, 2024 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.

Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is honored to assist the family with arrangements.
