Barbara Ella Spencer

 

Barbara Ella Hance Spencer, 88, of Dallas, passed away at Robin Johnson House on September 28, 2023. She was born on April 30, 1935, in Gaston County, to the late William T. Hance and Ada Helms Hance.

She is preceded in death by her late husband Doctor Knox Spencer, son Michael Harris; daughters, Adona Blackwell, Diane Wery; great grandson, Christopher Wery

Barbara was a long-time employee of the Country Corner in Dallas, NC. She loved her family and friends very much; she had a special love for her dogs and cats. She was a member of Walnut Grove Baptist Church in Dallas, NC.

Left to cherish her memories are her daughter, Sandra Ertzberger (Marcel); son, Richard Hoefner (Sandra); daughter-in-law, Patsy Harris; grandchildren, Katrinka Harris, Stacy Daro, Bo Summers, Kristy Pervine, Chris Wery, Jessica Robinson, Stephanie King, Thomas Hoefner and Jacob Hoefner; twenty-three great grandchildren, 2 great, great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at Sisk-Butler Funeral Home on Monday, October 2, 2023.

Barbara’s funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM with Pastor Chris Parker officiating.

Interment will follow at Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery.
