BARBARA J SPIESS

Barbara J. Spiess, 71, of Deltona, Florida, passed away on March 7, 2026.

Barbara worked as an account executive in direct mail marketing and was known for her determination, dedication, and strong work ethic. She enjoyed traveling to new places and loved the outdoors, warm weather, the beach, watching birds, and dreaming of seeing the aurora lights.

Above all, Barbara cherished her family. She was a devoted mother to Stephanie Giaquinto and Kevin Kuntz, and a beloved mother-in-law to Corinne Giaquinto. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Dean Giaquinto, who brought her endless joy. Barbara treasured every photo she received of Dean, proudly displaying them throughout her home and enjoying the many FaceTime calls and games of peek-a-boo they shared. One of her favorite moments was sitting in her chair watching family photos slowly pass by on her digital picture frame.

Barbara's son Kevin Kuntz cared for her with love and devotion in her final days, reflecting the deep bond they shared.

She is also survived by her sisters Irene DiNapoli and her husband Anthony, and Jo Ann Spiess, as well as her brother William Spiess and his wife Kathy Spiess. She also shared a special bond with her beloved dog, Sophie.

Barbara will be remembered for her stubborn strength, generous heart, and honest, straight-to-the-point nature. She was always willing to lend a helping hand and had a way of bringing light into dark moments. Her family will also fondly remember her creative frugality and the many ways she could stretch a dollar with pride.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Barbara's name to any local animal hospital or animal shelter, in honor of her love for animals.

Barbara's love and strength will live on through the family she cherished and the many lives she touched.
