DEBRA CIABATONI Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Alavon Direct Cremation Service - Orange City on Feb. 26, 2026.
Debbie Stewart-Ciabatoni, 73, passed away on February 21, 2026, in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. Born on September 15, 1952, in Nanticoke, Pennsylvania, Debbie spent most of her life in New Jersey - especially in North Brunswick, as well as Edison and Piscataway - before later making Florida her home.

Debbie was a woman of strength, independence, and deep devotion to her family. She built a long career in the grocery industry, beginning with Stop & Shop before moving to the vendor side representing companies such as L'eggs, American Chicle, and Acosta. She traveled throughout New Jersey as a territory manager and was well known for her knowledge of the business and her ability to build lasting relationships.

Her greatest pride and joy were her three sons: Marty, Kevin, and Dennis Jr. She poured her heart into motherhood - driving to little league games, cheering from the sidelines, and always making sure her boys felt supported and loved.

She was a proud grandmother to Mario, Krystal, Sara, and Samantha, and she treasured every moment watching them grow. Becoming a great-grandmother to Damien and Nikolai brought her even more joy. Debbie is also survived by her loving daughter-in-laws, Ann Marie & Danielle, her loving brother, Kenneth, and her dear sister, Darlene. She was preceded in death by her sister Donna. She also shared her home and her heart with her beloved beagle, Willow, and her cat, Rocky.

Creativity and faith were cornerstones of Debbie's life. She loved painting, antiquing, and bowling, and later found renewed spiritual strength through the teachings of Joel Osteen. Her favorite Bible verse, Philippians 4:13 - "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" - reflected the way she lived: with faith, resilience, and unwavering positivity.

A family hosted Celebration of Life will be held Saturday March 28, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm at American Legion Post 17, 619 Canal St, New Smyrna Beach, Florida 32168.

Debbie's love, strength, and faith will continue to live on in all who knew her.
